Business model adopted

Movenpick city hotel project was an ongoing design-build project which started in October 2014, for which we performed Procurement BIM services by engaging 8 resources in an hourly billing business model.

Project Synopsis

Movenpick is a 24-floor hotel in Sri Lanka. The hotel has a capacity of 180 guestrooms with 36 square meters for standard rooms and 70 square meters for suites. It has facilities which include an all-day dining venue, a rooftop bar and nightclub, fitness center, spa and pool. The project requirement was to perform a Procurement BIM model.

Our scope of services

Advenser’s scope of work was to deliver the BIM model, shop drawings and Procurement details. The BIM model consisted of furniture, sanitary & plumbing fixtures, lighting fixtures, floors and wall tiles, stairs and lifts, walls, columns, beams and its finishes along with their manufacturing specifications.

Result

Shop drawings and procurement list were extracted by team Advenser from the BIM model. The Shop drawing consisted of millwork details, inbuilt furniture’s (T.V consoles, wardrobes, vanity, reception table and bar units), wall setting out drawing, typical fixing drawings, tile and furniture layouts, finishes and furniture locating elevations. Procurement details of all furniture’s, tiles and lights were included in deliverables.
